We are seeking a reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to support daily farm operations and animal handling.
- Main Responsibilities Weigh and measure feed, feed livestock, and monitor animals for signs of illness.
- Clean barns, sheds, pens, and animal housing areas, ensuring hygienic conditions.
- Assist with milking operations and sterilisation of milking equipment.
- Treat minor animal ailments and assist veterinary professionals when required.
- Move and handle livestock safely and assist during calving and rearing of young animals.
- Carry out maintenance of fences, sheds, and animal enclosures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Candidate Profile Minimum 2 years’ experience in livestock, dairy farming, or a similar role involving animal care.
- Basic knowledge of animal handling and welfare.
- Ability to work safely with livestock.
- Good physical condition and willingness to work outdoors.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Must be available to work 39 hours per week.
