- Job Description & Skills RequiredJob description: HGV Driver (Articulated – C+E) Job Description – HGV Driver (Kitchen Deliveries)* Transport and deliver kitchen products to customers and designated locations safely and on time.* Follow delivery schedules, routes, and instructions provided by management.* Ensure all goods are handled carefully and secured properly during transport.* Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.* Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures when required.* Comply with road traffic laws, driving regulations, and company health and safety procedures.* Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and colleagues.* Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily vehicle and trailer safety inspections
- Operate articulated HGV vehicles in compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours Regulation (EC 561/2006)
- Ensure correct use of digital tachograph equipment
- Complete scheduled national deliveries
- Comply with Road Traffic and Health & Safety legislation
- Follow site-specific safety rules and wear required PPE
- Maintain communication with the transport planning office
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean and well maintained
- Meet assigned collection and delivery schedules Essential Requirements
- Full, clean C+E (Articulated) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC.CAM
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years’ verifiable HGV driving experience
- Good knowledge of Road Traffic and transport legislation
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach Hours of Work
- Full-time 39 hours per week
