Job OverviewRole SummaryOur client is seeking a Senior Product Designer for a six-month consulting assignment focused on user experiences for televisions and other large-screen devices. The role involves designing and enhancing digital experiences intended for use at a distance, where users navigate through interfaces with remote controls, game controllers, or similar input devices. You will join ongoing initiatives and translate concepts, product requirements, and design guidelines into detailed, production-ready solutions. The assignment covers playback experiences, navigation, controls, multi-device journeys, interface states, edge cases, motion, and focus behavior. You will also bring a senior design perspective to product and design discussions and follow solutions throughout the process from initial design to launch.
Key Responsibilities

- Create intuitive focus-based navigation patterns for remote controls, game controllers, and comparable input methods.
- Develop detailed, production-ready interface designs within short delivery timeframes.
- Define playback flows, controls, navigation systems, interface states, edge cases, motion behavior, and focus transitions.
- Design cohesive experiences that span multiple devices and interaction contexts.
- Rapidly become productive within existing initiatives and continue work already in progress with limited onboarding.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, designers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute senior-level guidance to product and design decisions while maintaining both a detailed interaction perspective and a broader user and product perspective.

- Use Figma, prototyping software, and AI-assisted tools to explore, communicate, and validate design concepts. Technical Stack & Requirements
- Product design: Extensive practical experience designing launched consumer-facing digital products.
- Interaction design: Strong ability to define detailed interaction models, including focus-based navigation, controls, transitions, states, and edge cases.
- Large-screen interfaces: Hands-on experience designing interfaces for televisions or other screens viewed and operated from a distance.
- Design tools: Advanced proficiency with Figma and relevant prototyping tools.
- Prototyping: Ability to create realistic prototypes for television interactions, including motion and focus behavior.
- AI-assisted workflows: Experience using AI-supported tools as part of the design and prototyping process is advantageous.
- Multi-platform design: Experience designing for multiple television platforms or partner ecosystems is beneficial.
- Qualifications & ExperienceThe successful consultant will have senior-level product design experience and a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual quality and strong interaction design expertise.
- Practical experience with television interfaces, large-screen products, and focus-based navigation using remote controls or game controllers is required.
- Relevant industry experience may come from media, entertainment, streaming, gaming, or closely related consumer product environments.
- Experience with social or shared playback experiences, motion design, television interaction prototyping, multi-platform TV ecosystems, or AI-assisted prototyping is considered advantageous.
- The role requires the ability to work independently, take ownership of existing work with limited onboarding, and communicate design decisions clearly to product, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
