We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Holidays team. We need a highly organised person who can help make sure that everyone has the best possible time when they stay at a National Trust holiday cottage.
The Holidays Assistant Manager, reporting to the Holidays Manager, will support our teams working at holiday cottages in Wiltshire, west Dorset and south Somerset.
Salary: £27,612 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Generally you will work 5 days a week (out of Monday to Saturday), usually 9-5. You will be expected to work two Saturdays a month. Flexibility is key to adapt to the needs of the business.

What you'll be doing Your focus will be on giving great service to everyone who chooses to stay in one of our cottages. We want them all to have a very happy holiday.
Sometimes you'll be working at a desk at one of the National Trust offices, but mostly, you'll be out and about visiting holiday cottages and other sites, some of which may be in remote places. Some of our working locations are in rural areas so you'll need your own car, full driving licence and be comfortable with this type of driving.
You’ll keep our team organised and on track with our compliance requirements and you will need a keen eye for detail to ensure we maintain our brand standards and compliance.
You'll ideally have some people management experience as you will be line managing a team including holiday cottage housekeepers and team leaders. You’ll supervise and lead them through training, coaching and development. You’ll be co-ordinating rotas with bookings, organising changeovers and service cleans, and efficiently managing stock control, buying and stores. You'll help to recruit new staff, providing clear induction and training.
You’ll help to respond to incidents, working with contractors and internal colleagues to do all that’s needed to keep everyone safe and happy.
