About this role
The primary purpose of this ten-month per year position is to assist school teachers in the performance of their teaching functions by performing varied duties associated with the teaching process and/or working with students that require assistance through the special education program, to reinforce what teachers have already taught.
Ten-month per year (September-June), 32.5 hours per week:
Elementary (PEC/IEC): 8:40am-3:40pm
Secondary (Middle/High School: 7:40am-2:40pm
Teacher Aides may be appointed as personal care aides or in self-contained classrooms. These assignments receive an additional salary stipend, per LPUEE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Teacher aides may also have opportunity to apply for additional hours/salary stipend as transportation attendants.
