Stoneham High School is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and student-centered individuals to serve as Per Diem Substitute Teachers throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with high school students, demonstrate flexibility and professionalism, and are committed to supporting student learning. Essential Responsibilities
- Provide classroom supervision and instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by classroom teachers.
- Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.
- Support student engagement and encourage appropriate classroom behavior.
- Follow school policies, procedures, and established classroom expectations.
- Communicate relevant information regarding student participation, behavior, and completed assignments to the classroom teacher or administration.
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to support the daily operations of the school.
