The Smithville RII School District is currently accepting applications for a Long-Term Kindergarten Substitute Teacher at Eagle Heights Elementary School for the 2026-2027 School Year. Anticipated time period of January 2027- April 2027.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requires that substitutes have completed 60 college credit hours and must provide original transcripts from your college to DESE in Jefferson City. Instructions for transcripts and applying to sub through DESE can be found on their website at dese.mo.gov. All Substitute Teachers must also clear a Missouri Highway Patrol background clearance check. Instructions for the fingerprinting appointments can be found on our website under the employment tab.
Long Term Substitutes are paid $135.00 per day or $141.00 per day (Retired Teacher) for Days 1-10 and then $200.00 per day (Day 11+) on a biweekly basis.
