About this role
SUMMARY
This position involves the usage and operation of surveying instruments/equipment as well as compiling and entering data into computers.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- The daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle
- Provides assistance to Survey Manager in regard to layout and measurements.
- Operating GPS, Trimble, and Total Solution equipment.
- Maintaining all surveying supplies.
- Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine adequacy of data.
- Equipment verification once a month.
- Attends safety meeting and trainings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous relevant surveying construction experience is highly preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to nature of job.
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
- High School diploma is highly preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours. (daytime/nighttime)
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be accustomed to working in outside environment.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must possess and maintain clean Florida driver's license.
