Clinical Director
Morrison Center: is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Director to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed behavioral health professional who enjoys combining clinical leadership, operational oversight, and staff development while helping shape high-quality, person-centered services across multiple programs and locations.
Job Summary
The Clinical Director provides clinical and operational leadership for assigned programs and service lines. This position partners closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Services and organizational leadership to support high-quality, compliant, and person-centered services. The Clinical Director oversees clinical practices, program operations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance while promoting strong outcomes for the individuals and families Morrison Center serves.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related human services field
- Active clinical licensure in Maine required (LMSW-CC, LCPC-C, LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent licensure based on program needs)
- Minimum two years of leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health, developmental services, case management, or related human services settings preferred
- Experience supervising clinical and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with program operations, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health conditions, or complex support needs preferred
- Knowledge of MaineCare, Medicaid-funded services, accreditation standards, and applicable human service regulations preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Responsibilities and Scope
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for assigned programs and service lines
- Promote evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements
- Provide clinical consultation, case review guidance, and service planning support
- Monitor program outcomes, documentation quality, service delivery, and client satisfaction
- Monitor access to care, referrals, and service capacity
- Lead quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, accreditation activities, and corrective action plans
- Assist with budget development and monitor staffing, productivity, and fiscal performance
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and program sustainability
- Support new programs, organizational initiatives, grant activities, and strategic planning
- Represent Morrison Center with community partners, referral sources, funders, and regulatory agencies
