Principal Training Representative - Radar Technical Training Developer (Level 4)
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Training Representative - Radar Technical Training Developer (Level 4) to support the design, development, and delivery of technical training for advanced military radar systems. This role is ideal for a radar subject matter expert who combines deep operational or maintenance experience with exceptional instructional design and technical writing skills. The successful candidate will independently develop customer-ready training products while serving as a trusted technical resource and peer reviewer within the training organization.In this role, you will analyze training requirements, research complex radar and RF system topics, and transform highly technical information into effective learning solutions for military operators and maintainers.
You will apply established instructional methodologies such as ADDIE and ISD to develop lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, assessments, job aids, and instructor materials. Working closely with engineering, software, integration and test, operations, maintenance, logistics, and customer stakeholders, you will identify information gaps, reconcile conflicting technical data, and drive resolution of complex issues with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with radar systems, RF technologies, and system-level troubleshooting, along with a demonstrated ability to develop training in dynamic environments where system development and training development occur simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills, professional judgment, and the ability to independently research and solve technical challenges are essential. Additional responsibilities include conducting technical and instructional peer reviews, recommending improvements to training standards and content, mentoring junior developers, supporting customer working groups, and occasionally delivering classroom, simulator, laboratory, or hands-on instruction. Approximately 10% travel may be required. Qualified candidates will have significant radar or RF experience, strong technical writing abilities, expertise in ADDIE/ISD methodologies, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, and an active Secret security clearance.
Experience with phased-array radar systems, military training programs, Agile environments, STK, simulation development, and Top Secret/SCI eligibility is highly desired.We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
