About this role

Build Your Career with LUFF Industries

For more than 40 years, *LUFF Industries Ltd.* has designed and manufactured high-quality conveyor components used in demanding material-handling applications around the world. Our reputation has been built on reliable products, responsive service, innovative solutions, and an industry-leading warranty.

As LUFF continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced *Senior Accountant* to join our Finance team and play an important role in supporting the financial strength and future growth of our business.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the *CFO*, the Senior Accountant is a key leadership position within the Finance team. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with team leadership, financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and support for senior management.

You will work closely with the Finance team and leaders across the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial information, strengthen internal processes and controls, and provide meaningful financial insight to support business decisions.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the details while also seeing the bigger picture. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading and developing others, improving processes, solving problems, and stepping in as a strong individual contributor when needed.

Because this position works with confidential business and financial information, a high level of *integrity, professionalism, judgment, and discretion* is essential.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, training, and support to members of the Finance team.
  • Oversee key accounting activities, including *accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and work-in-progress reconciliations*.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain and review balance sheet accounts and profit and loss reporting.
  • Conduct financial and variance analysis related to sales, gross margin, operating expenses, overhead, inventory, and profitability.
  • Review inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and inventory variances.
  • Prepare and review intercompany transactions, balances, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting through historical analysis, financial schedules, and management reporting.
  • Ensure accounting processes and procedures support accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis, including general ledger reporting, sales reporting, senior management reporting, and other financial information as required.
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Support external audit activities and maintain accurate documentation for audit and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with banking, tax, government, and regulatory reporting matters as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the *efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness* of Finance processes.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide financial insight and support sound business decisions.

What You Bring

You are an experienced accounting professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, forward-thinking approach.

You are comfortable taking ownership, working through complex problems, and developing solutions rather than simply identifying issues. Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people and understand that a strong Finance function depends on collaboration across the entire organization.

*The ideal candidate will also possess the following: *

  • A bachelor's degree in *Accounting, Finance, or a related field*.
  • A professional accounting designation such as a *CPA*, or progress toward obtaining the designation, is preferred.
