Job Description
Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician.
Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS."Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an assetEducation- Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCCLicenses- Valid Class 5 driver's license- (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or- Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.Memberships- Canadian Association of Physician AssistantsCompetencies- Advanced - Technical skills- Intermediate - Computer skills- Advanced - Communication skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skills- Intermediate - Mobil...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
