Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing interior finishing work on residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, proficiency in various carpentry techniques, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely project completion.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks
- Install cabinetry, trim, molding, doors, windows, and other woodwork with precision
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed for finishing projects
- Utilize hand tools, power tools and other equipment safely and effectively
- Measure accurately for cuttings and installations; ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction finishing activities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry or woodworking with a focus on finishing work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans confidently
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other relevant equipment
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Experience with electrical or plumbing systems is a plus but not mandatory
- Handyman experience or background in restoration projects is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if necessary
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Good communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Must provide own tools and transportation.
