Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in various dental specialties such as pediatrics and orthodontics is a plus.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software (Open Dental) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
