About Insight Design Group
Insight Design Group (IDG) is a Vancouver-based interior design firm specializing in multi-family residential developments and working with some of North America's leading developers.
We are seeking an experienced *Interior Designer* with a minimum of three years of professional experience to join our studio in Kitsilano's Armoury District.
The successful candidate will have strong creative and technical design skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to projects from initial concept through construction. Experience in multi-family residential design and FF&E is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute interior design concepts aligned with project objectives and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project leads on large-scale multi-family residential projects.
- Prepare design presentations, material and finish selections, specifications, and FF&E packages.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and renderings into detailed construction drawings, including architectural and millwork details.
- Produce accurate technical drawings in accordance with studio CAD standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and project teams.
- Assist with construction administration, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, and team members.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design.
- Minimum three years of professional interior design experience (mandatory).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong technical drawing, detailing, and design development skills.
- Working knowledge of the BC Building Code as it relates to interior design.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven studio environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience in multi-family residential interior design.
- Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in SketchUp and Enscape.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
- Experience with consultant coordination and construction administration.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence.
