Job Overview
The Warehouse and Prefabrication Manager leads mechanical prefabrication operations and logistics for plumbing and HVAC projects. This role works across shop management, supply chain, safety, quality control, and fleet management, using production tracking and scheduling systems to support safe, efficient, and timely installation at project sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise prefabrication teams (plumbers, apprentices, sheet metal workers), coordinating daily priorities, material staging, and production schedules with project managers.
- Oversee material receiving, inventory, tool tracking, and the delivery of prefabricated components, pipe spools, ductwork, and mechanical skids.
- Enforce occupational health and safety standards, conduct inspections, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, inspect standard assemblies, address non-conforming work, and maintain accurate production and delivery records.
- Manage company fleet maintenance and coordinate tool delivery to site locations.
- *Your impact:* Ensuring fabricated assemblies meet site requirements and installation sequences, allowing field teams to operate reliably and on time.
Skills
- *Required:* Minimum 2?3 years of supervisory or management experience. Practical knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical piping, and HVAC ductwork. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory tracking. Valid driver?s license.
- *Preferred:* Journeyperson qualification in plumbing, pipefitting, sheet metal, or welding (Red Seal certification is an asset). Familiarity with production tracking, fleet coordination, and bilingual (English/French) communication is an asset.
Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
