The Role
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to look after and grow our customer base of ice cream and frozen dessert manufacturers. You will manage your own accounts, find new business, and work closely with our team to bring the right ingredient solutions to customers.
A food science or nutrition background is a nice to have, but not a must. We provide hands-on product training and formal courses. What we can?t teach is the ability to build trust, follow through and win business. If you are a proven account manager who enjoys learning, we?d like to hear from you.
This role is on-site five days a week at our Mississauga office.
What You Will Do
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Prospect for and win new customers through outreach, referrals and trade shows.
- Learn our products and work with our lab to coordinate samples and customer projects.
- Prepare quotes, manage pricing and keep customer activity up to date in our ERP system.
- Coordinate with production and logistics to keep orders on track and resolve issues.
- Keep up with industry trends and new opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of B2B account management or sales experience.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent experience.
- A proven ability to build relationships and generate new business.
- Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to customers.
- Organized, self-motivated and comfortable working in a small company.
- Comfortable with regular travel (10?20%), including day trips or week-long trips.
Nice to Have
- A background in food science, nutrition or a related field.
- Experience in the food, beverage or ingredient industry.
- English/French bilingual.
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
