Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Food and Beverage Server to provide welcoming, efficient service in a hospitality setting. The ideal candidate enjoys helping guests, works well with a team, and can balance accuracy with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, answer questions, and provide attentive *customer service* and *guest services* throughout their visit.
- Take and enter orders accurately using a *POS* system;
- Serve food and beverages promptly, check in with guests, and respond professionally to requests or concerns.
- Recommend menu items and use thoughtful *upselling* to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle payments and transactions accurately, including *cashiering*, *cash handling*, and basic *math*.
- Follow *food safety*, *food handling*, and *sanitation* procedures when serving, preparing, or transporting food and beverages.
- Assist with basic *food preparation* and kitchen tasks as needed.
- Keep service areas clean, organized, and stocked, and coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
- Use strong *time management* to prioritize tasks and maintain smooth service during busy periods.
Experience
- *Food service experience*, *serving*, or *restaurant experience* is preferred; experience in the broader *food industry* or *hospitality* is also valuable.
- Familiarity with *POS* systems is helpful, and *Micros POS* experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of *food safety*, *food handling*, *sanitation*, and basic *food preparation* practices is preferred.
- *Kitchen experience* is beneficial but not required.
- Comfortable with basic *math*, handling transactions, and maintaining accuracy while working at a steady pace.
- Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a guest-focused approach are essential.
Pay: $18.25 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
