Working collaboratively with the Primary Health Care team and community partners, the Health Educator assesses client needs and provides education, and group programming. Through a client-centered approach, the Health Educator empowers individuals to achieve their health goals, improve self-management.
Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses- Valid Class 5 driver's license Education- Bachelor Degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline Experience- Experience or courses in facilitation, conflict and project mgmnt an asset Knowledge & Abilities- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to maintain priorities.- Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.- Knowledge in health needs of individuals living with COPD and chronic conditions- Knowledge in principles of adult learning- Requires proficiency with a variety of computer applications- Ability to lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative team environment- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships/partnerships- Advanced knowledge of diabetes practices and principle...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
