Job Overview
The Automotive Glass Technician installs, repairs, and replaces vehicle glass, helping return vehicles to safe, clear condition. This hands-on role involves using appropriate tools, handling glass carefully, and completing work with attention to detail. You?ll support customers and colleagues by delivering dependable repairs and keeping each job moving smoothly.
Duties
- Inspect vehicle glass and surrounding areas to identify damage and determine repair or replacement needs.
- Remove damaged glass and install or repair windshields and other automotive glass using hand and power tools.
- Handle glass and related materials safely, including lifting and positioning components as needed.
- Check completed work for fit, finish, and clarity, and keep the work area and tools organized.
- Your impact: Careful, reliable repairs help customers get back on the road with clear visibility.
Skills
Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, safe use of hand and power tools, ability to perform automotive glass repair tasks, and capacity to handle heavy lifting are important for completing installations and repairs carefully. Preferred: Dealership experience and mechanic experience can help you understand vehicle systems, work efficiently in an automotive setting, and coordinate smoothly with colleagues.
Pay: $24.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
