Job Overview
The Registered Veterinary Technician supports veterinary care by assisting with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures while helping maintain a calm, organized clinical environment. This hands-on role combines attentive animal care, accurate documentation, and coordination with the veterinary team. Your work helps colleagues make informed care decisions and supports a smoother experience for animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for examinations and procedures.
- Assist veterinarians with patient care, treatments, and procedures, following established instructions.
- Collect and handle laboratory samples, support testing, and communicate results to the veterinary team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and help keep clinical areas clean, stocked, and ready for care.
Skills
Required: Practical ability to support animal care, follow clinical instructions, handle samples carefully, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly with colleagues. Preferred: Laboratory experience and familiarity with veterinary clinical workflows are advantageous, along with a calm, attentive approach to animals and their owners.
Pay: $23.00-$36.12 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
