Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurately picking customer orders using advanced technologies such as voice picking, robotic tools, and conveyor systems across large facility areas. This role involves assembling boxes, packaging merchandise, and performing final quality checks on orders, including brand-specific gift packaging services. Additionally, the specialist verifies received and outbound merchandise against manifests and tickets, tallies shipments, and records any overages or shortages. The role also involves placing merchandise into designated pick locations and confirming inventory using handheld RF scanners to print put-away, picking, and shipping labels. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment through general housekeeping duties is also essential.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using automated technologies.
- Assemble boxes and package merchandise with attention to detail.
- Perform final quality checks and brand-specific gift packaging services.
- Verify received and outbound merchandise against manifests and tickets.
- Tally shipments and record overages or shortages.
- Place merchandise into designated pick locations and confirm inventory using handheld RF scanners.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by disposing of packing materials and pallets.

- Experience or comfort working with handheld RF scanners, computers, or automated warehouse systems (preferred)

Work EnvironmentThe role operates within a distribution setting, exposing employees to varying temperatures, concrete floors, dust, odors, and potential mechanical, electrical, or chemical hazards. Shifts include 1st Shift (Tuesday-Friday 5am-3:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30am), Weekend Days (Saturday-Monday 5am-5pm), and Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday 5pm-5am). During the Thanksgiving-Christmas period, employees work 6 days a week, totaling 60 hours. A $1 shift differential applies to all 2nd and 3rd shifts, while a $2 shift differential is provided for 4th and 5th shifts.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
