Job Description
We are looking for a Trash & Linen Technician to support a clean and safe hospital environment. This position is responsible for collecting, sorting, and transporting trash and linens throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Collect trash and linen from patient rooms and other hospital areas.
- Place trash and linens in the correct bins.
- Transport bins and carts to designated disposal or processing areas.
- Follow hospital sanitation and safety procedures.
- Handle soiled or potentially contaminated materials safely.
- Assist with basic housekeeping and janitorial duties as needed.
- Work throughout all floors of the hospital.
- Lift and push heavy bags and carts weighing 5075 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
- Hospital or hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working around patient care areas, including possible exposure to blood and other medical conditions.
- Able to stand and walk for 68 hours per shift.
- Able to lift, push, and move heavy items.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Must be available for rotating weekends.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
