About this role

Civil Skilled LaborerJob DescriptionThis role supports pipe layers on civil construction projects by installing, repairing, and maintaining underground piping systems for water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure. You work hands-on in the field performing physically demanding tasks, reading plans, and helping ensure underground utilities are installed safely, accurately, and to specification on active construction sites.

  • Support backfilling and compaction processes to ensure trenches are safely and properly restored after installation.

  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more) repeatedly.
  • Comfort working in outdoor construction environments in various weather conditions.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew and follow direction from supervisors.

  • Exposure to civil construction environments and familiarity with trenching, backfilling, and compaction processes.
  • Willingness to participate in training such as fall protection, confined space, and WHMIS provided by the employer.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality when installing and inspecting piping systems.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to early starts, overtime, or weekend work when required by project schedules.

Why Work Here? You join a growing, expanding civil construction company that offers genuine opportunities for advancement as the business continues to develop. The team environment is close-knit, and you are treated as an individual rather than just a number, with leadership that genuinely cares about field staff.
