General Laborer @ Aerotek

Job Title: General Laborer Paint Line SupportJob DescriptionThis role supports the paint line within a manufacturing facility by performing a variety of general labor tasks, with a primary focus on loading and unloading materials on a powder coat line. The position involves frequent lifting, handling, and moving of materials, as well as ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products through the paint process.

Responsibilities

• Load materials onto the powder coat line by hooking parts securely and safely.
• Unload materials from the powder coat line by unhooking parts and placing them in designated areas.
• Perform solo lifting of materials up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Participate in team lifting of materials up to 100 pounds when required.
• Handle general labor tasks such as packing, staging, and organizing materials to support paint line operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around the paint line and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production flow.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure materials move through the paint process on schedule.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to perform consistent physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts as scheduled.
• Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely handle materials while loading and unloading a paint or powder coat line.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packing and material handling in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Comfort working around paint lines, powder coat lines, or similar production equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to workplace procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based inside a manufacturing facility supporting a paint line operation. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with mandatory 8-hour days and the potential for 10-hour shifts as required. The work involves standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials throughout the shift in an industrial environment. Employees must wear steel-toe footwear, long pants, and a work-appropriate shirt in accordance with safety and dress code requirements.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
