Job Title: Industrial PainterJob DescriptionAs an Industrial Painter, you will prepare metal surfaces through grinding, sanding, masking, and cleaning. You will be responsible for mixing and applying paints and coatings according to specifications and production requirements, operating spray equipment to achieve smooth, consistent finishes. Your role will also involve inspecting finished work for quality and correcting defects as needed, along with the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of painting equipment. Additionally, you will work closely with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet customer expectations and production schedules while adhering to all safety procedures, including respirator and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, sanding, masking, and cleaning.
• Mix and apply paints and coatings to specifications and production requirements.
• Operate spray equipment for smooth, consistent finishes.
• Inspect finished work for quality and correct defects as needed.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures, including respirator and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet customer expectations and production schedules.

Essential Skills

• 35 years of industrial painting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and finish quality.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and pulmonary evaluation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial or similar production environments preferred.
• Experience with HVLP, electrostatic, or pressure-pot spray systems.
• Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and coating specifications.
• Experience in structural steel, heavy fabrication, enclosure manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Knowledge of dry film thickness (DFT) requirements and coating defect troubleshooting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
