Job Title: CNC Machinist - Now Hiring! Location: Palmetto, FLSchedule: Full-TimePay: $25.00 - $35.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)Job Summary:A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling and turning equipment to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, working with tight tolerances, performing quality inspections, and troubleshooting machining processes in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments
- Perform machine offsets and adjustments to ensure part accuracy
- Manufacture components to precise tolerances and specifications
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Verify dimensional accuracy and document inspection results
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make process corrections as needed
- Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for assembly or shipment
- Complete production documentation and quality records
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve production efficiency
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of machining processes and tooling
- Understanding of GD&T preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palmetto, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
