Job Title: Municipal Civil EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Municipal Civil Engineer to join our established team, renowned for its rich history in land development and municipal engineering since 1878. This position will support our efforts in managing and reviewing plans for a new township, with a focus on fostering community development and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct subdivision and land development plan reviews.
- Perform zoning reviews and site grading.
- Manage sanitary and storm sewer systems.
- Oversee stormwater management and hydrology projects.
- Handle PaDED, NPDES, and other PaDEP permitting processes.
- Prepare municipal site permit applications.
- Create comprehensive construction documents and technical specifications.
- Participate in township night meetings twice a month in Delco/Chesco.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with plans to obtain PE.
- Proficiency in plan review and AutoCAD.
- Experience in using Civil 3D, stormwater, and site development tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in civil design, municipal engineering, and site planning.
- Strong skills in drainage design and stormwater calculations.
- Ability to engage effectively in meetings and collaborate with engineers.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based onsite five days a week, with opportunities for remote work upon proven performance. The position offers hands-on experience in seeing designs come to life. Employees enjoy the chance to attend municipal meetings and work closely with professional engineers and staff.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
