- For more information about Modine, visit modine.com . Position Description The Cleaner in a manufacturing environment is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, warehouse, and common areas while providing day‑to‑day leadership to the cleaning team.
- This role ensures cleaning standards support workplace safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee cleaning of production floors, walkways, offices, lunch rooms, and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain industrial flooring, including removal of debris, dust, and spills.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and lunch rooms, replenishing supplies as required.
- Empty trash and recycling, including production waste and packaging materials, following disposal procedures.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure cleaning schedules align with production operations.
- Ensure safe handling and use of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Communicate with facility contacts regarding special requests or priorities.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Ensure cleaning activities are performed discreetly and professionally in occupied workspaces.
- Required Education & Qualifications Comfortable working around production equipment, machinery, and varying noise levels.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, including PPE requirements and lockout awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to work around office staff while minimizing disruption.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures.
