You'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, shape integration strategy, and be supported by a network of practitioners who are passionate about building things the right way.

What will your typical day look like?

  • As a Senior Engineer, you’ll design and build integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • You’ll work across the delivery lifecycle, translating requirements into secure, scalable APIs and integrations, and helping take them through testing and deployment.
  • You’ll bring hands-on engineering judgement to day-to-day design and delivery decisions, work closely with client and project teams, and help raise the quality and consistency of the solutions we deliver.
  • On a typical day you will: Design and deliver API-led integrations on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, applying appropriate integration patterns and contributing to reusable assets and engineering standards.
  • Turn business and technical requirements into secure, resilient solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Build, test and deploy Mule applications, and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Use DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, platform services and connectors to deliver integration outcomes.
  • Diagnose issues and improve performance, reliability, error handling and security across integrations.
  • Work with architects, product owners, business analysts and client stakeholders to align delivery with wider enterprise and cloud strategies.
  • Share knowledge with the team and support the development of less experienced engineers.
  • Contribute technical input to estimates, proposals and solution shaping when needed.

About you

  • You are an experienced integration professional with hands-on MuleSoft capability and a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes.
  • You likely bring: Hands-on experience designing and delivering integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API-led connectivity and API design using RAML/OpenAPI.
  • Practical knowledge of DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager and MuleSoft connectors.
  • Experience contributing to technical delivery activities such as design reviews, code reviews and engineering standards.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, microservices, event-driven architecture, messaging technologies such as JMS, Kafka and AMQP, and RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing such as MUnit, containerisation and deployment to CloudHub and/or hybrid environments.
  • A good grasp of security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS and API security best practice.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • MuleSoft certifications are highly regarded.
  • Experience across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP is desirable.
