We have an exciting opportunity to join Nottingham City Council’s Fleet Services team as a Fleet Coordinator, helping to keep our workshops, vehicles and customers moving.

This is much more than an office-based administration role. You’ll be at the heart of our busy fleet operation, supporting our Eastcroft and Woolsthorpe workshops and working with a wide range of internal and external customers.

The role includes

  • Booking and organising workshop jobs and helping plan workshop capacity
  • Coordinating MOT tests, servicing and repair bookings

  • Creating, updating and progressing workshop jobs so they are ready to be closed and billed
  • Raising invoices and purchase orders
  • Providing professional customer service by telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Coordinating pool and hire vehicle bookings, collections and returns
  • Supporting DVSA MOT administration
  • Liaising with suppliers and arranging subcontract work
  • Supporting fleet compliance, vehicle preparation, fuel and vehicle cleaning activities

We’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate, proactive and customer-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational environment.

The ideal candidate will have

  • A high level of accuracy when working with data
  • Experience of customer service in a busy environment
  • Experience of raising invoices and purchase orders
  • Experience of working in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of booking or fleet management systems
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
