Reach Truck Operator @ Aerotek

We are hiring an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join a clean, modern distribution centre. This position is a mix of reach truck operation and general warehouse duties. Shift: 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m.

What Youll Do

• Operate a reach truck approximately 60% of the shift
• Move, store, and retrieve products throughout the warehouse
• Break down, sort, and organize incoming pallets
• Perform general warehouse duties approximately 40% of the shift
• Pick orders when required
• Count and verify incoming and outgoing shipments
• Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Follow all warehouse health and safety procedures

What Were Looking For

• Valid external reach truck license
• Previous reach truck experience in a warehouse or distribution centre
• Comfortable operating a reach truck in warehouse aisles and at height
• Previous material handling, pallet sorting, or general labour experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and comfortable working the 6:00 a.m. start
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Steel-toe safety shoes required

Work Environment

Youll work with a team of approximately 30 warehouse and office employees in a clean, well-lit distribution centre. Safety vests and masks are provided, and new employees receive orientation and health and safety training. What I changed: I removed repetitive requirements, simplified the language, and moved the strongest candidate-facing details, especially the 60/40 reach truck split, shift, licence requirement, 50-lb lifting requirement, and permanent-role benefits, into an easier-to-scan format.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
