General Laborer @ Aerotek

CONSTRUCTION LABORER-TEMP PROJECT 65 HOURS/WEEK, $18-20/HOUR!

Job Summary

We're hiring hardworking individuals to join our team as Construction Laborers. In this role, you'll assist with outdoor construction and landscaping projects, including drainage installation, grading, bunker construction, and sod placement. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install drainage pipe and drainage systems according to project plans.
• Assist with bunker construction, shaping, and finishing.
• Spread and move sand, soil, and other materials as needed.
• Perform grading, site preparation, and general dirt work.
• Prepare and install sod to ensure proper coverage and appearance.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
• Load, unload, and transport materials around the job site.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, landscaping, excavation, or outdoor labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows.
• Ability to safely operate common power tools.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding work and work extended hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating skid steers or other compact equipment.
• Experience in golf course construction or maintenance.
• Knowledge of grading, excavation, or drainage installation.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing job site conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment

This position is entirely outdoors on active construction and landscaping sites. Employees should expect to work long hours on uneven terrain while around equipment, tools, and construction materials. Typical hours are approximately 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with schedules that may include weekends. Proper work boots and weather-appropriate clothing are required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
