About this role
Do you have a passion for helping young children thrive? Are you caring, enthusiastic, and committed to making a difference every day? If so, we would love to hear from you.
At St Alban's Catholic Voluntary Academy, we are looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in children's earliest learning experiences, helping to nurture confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Working alongside our experienced teachers, you will support children in achieving their academic, social, and personal potential. Whether working with individuals, small groups, or the whole class, you will help create an engaging, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting children to access the Early Years curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Encouraging independence, self-esteem, and positive social development.
- Delivering tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, including those requiring additional support and intimate care.
- Working collaboratively with teachers to create exciting and engaging learning experiences.
- Helping to maintain a positive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels valued.
What we're looking for
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their development.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to learning and teamwork.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A commitment to supporting our Catholic ethos and values (you do not need to be Catholic, but you must respect and promote our ethos).
Why join us?
At St Alban's, our children are at the heart of everything we do. You'll join a friendly and dedicated team where your contribution will be truly valued. We are committed to supporting professional development and offer opportunities to grow your skills and progress your career within the school.
This is a fixed position working 19.5 hours per week, term time only.
Join us and help create the strong foundations that enable every child to learn, grow, and succeed.
