About this role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more. Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cleaner to join our brilliant support team and help keep Ormiston Sudbury Academy a clean, safe and welcoming place for our students, staff and visitors.

As part of our team, you’ll take real pride in looking after our school - dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, emptying bins and keeping toilets sparkling, as well as getting classrooms and meeting rooms ready for the day ahead. You’ll keep supplies such as soap and paper towels topped up, store equipment and cleaning products safely, and let us know if anything needs fixing or doesn’t look quite right. During school holidays, you may also help with deeper cleaning projects that keep our building looking its best.

This is a part-time role of 10 hours per week, 44 weeks per year. Working hours are: 6am to 8am Monday to Friday.

You don’t need any previous cleaning experience - we’ll give you all the training you need, including health and safety and the safe use of cleaning products (COSHH). What matters most is that you’re dependable, take pride in a job well done and enjoy being part of a friendly team. The role is an active one, with plenty of bending, stretching and moving equipment (and the occasional piece of furniture), so you’ll need to be comfortable on your feet. Above all, you’ll share our commitment to keeping our students safe and happy.
