Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on IT support or engineering experience, such as 2nd/3rd line, systems or infrastructure work; 5+ years is ideal, and MSP experience is preferred
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, networking and endpoints, plus broad IT skills
- A logical, investigative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to take ownership and follow through
- Confidence and professionalism when working with customers
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for customer-site visits
- Residence within commuting distance of Basingstoke and the right to work in the UK; we cannot offer visa sponsorship
- Willingness to work from our Basingstoke office, with the option to work from home one day per week after probation
- Security+, SC-900, SC-200 or AZ-500 certifications are useful but not essential
Responsibilities
- Secure Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and endpoints across customer environments
- Investigate and resolve security incidents
- Deliver Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus readiness work
- Review vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation
- Carry out security assessments and customer projects, and attend customer meetings
- Work with our Service Desk on security escalations

This is a hands-on IT Security Engineer role—not a SOC position—where youll apply your broad IT skills to securing customer environments, with training to develop your security expertise. We expect our engineers to communicate clearly, take ownership and care about doing the right thing for customers.
The role offers £40,000–£50,000 per year, depending on experience, paid training and certifications, vendor training and industry events, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with additional leave for long service, a laptop, mobile, business mileage, a wellbeing platform, company pension and free parking.
Youll work alongside our team in the Basingstoke office, with one day per week working from home available after probation. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of how we deliver security to customers, with training, responsibility and a say in how we develop our security services.
