IT Support @ Part Four

Salary: £26,500 - 28,000 per year

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field would be advantageous
• Experience working in a help desk or technical support role
• Familiarity with Active Directory administration and user management
• Experience providing desktop support to end-users
• GCSE or equivalent preferred
• One year of technical support experience preferred
• One year of customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• We provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• We install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software
• We set up and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory
• We respond to and update help desk tickets, providing timely resolution to end-user problems
• We assist with the setup and maintenance of network equipment, routers, and switches
• We collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and systems
• We escalate IT issues to other team members
• We diagnose and resolve technical issues
• We assist with IT projects as instructed by the IT Team Leader
• We provide desktop and server support
• We support and maintain MS desktops
• We set up and configure new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
• We install authorised software on laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
• We ensure security updates and upgrades are applied to desktops, laptops, and mobile devices and kept up to date
• We find and resolve faults with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
• We complete internal user moves, including phones
• We patch network and phone connections
• We manage inbound calls and tickets
• We visit client sites when required
• We conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity
• We document technical processes and procedures for future reference
