Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Strong experience with Java or another object-oriented language
- Experience with Oracle/SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of Hibernate, JUnit, JMS and XML
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience mentoring or leading developers
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Logistics or warehouse automation experience is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
- Full and legal rights to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
Responsibilities
- Develop and support commercial software using Java and Oracle
- Provide second-level support and troubleshoot complex customer issues
- Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis
- Manage fixes, patches and software releases
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Work closely with Project Managers and Service Account Managers
- Create technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Support continuous improvement and system stability
