Requirements
- Proven experience taking AI or GenAI solutions from idea through to production, beyond demos
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agent-style solutions, Python, and a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Insurance knowledge, such as underwriting, claims, MGAs, delegated authority, or the London Market
- Understanding of responsible AI, data quality, and working in a regulated business
- Confident communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working with unstructured documents such as submissions, policy wordings, or claims files
- Experience with PRA/FCA or GDPR requirements
- Previous experience as a first or lead AI hire
Responsibilities
- Work with the business to identify and prioritise initial AI use cases, such as broker submissions, document processing, claims, and partner data
- Shape a practical plan and establish the foundations it needs, including data, tooling, and governance
- Build and deliver initial solutions using LLMs and proven cloud AI services
- Ensure solutions are safe and well governed, with appropriate testing, guardrails, and oversight for a regulated insurer
- Explain the work to senior stakeholders in plain English and help the in-house team take it over
