Lead Cloud FinOps Strategist

Remote in Ohio | Contract-to-Hire | $75$95/hour W2We are looking for a senior-level Cloud FinOps / Technology Finance professional to help a large enterprise organization build and mature how it manages, forecasts, governs, and optimizes its cloud investment. This is not simply a cloud cost-reporting role. Youll work at the intersection of Finance, Cloud Engineering, IT, Procurement, and business leadership, turning cloud consumption data into financial strategy and helping leaders make better decisions around cloud spend, forecasting, optimization, and accountability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and advance the organization's cloud financial management and FinOps strategy
• Build cloud budgets, forecasts, demand models, scenario analyses, and long-range financial projections
• Improve visibility into where cloud dollars are being spent and why
• Develop cost allocation, chargeback/showback, tagging, and financial accountability models
• Translate cloud consumption and architecture decisions into financial impact
• Identify and quantify cloud cost optimization opportunities
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting around cloud spend, forecast accuracy, utilization, and optimization
• Partner across Finance, Cloud Engineering, IT, Procurement, Product, and business teams
• Advise senior leadership on cloud investment decisions, risks, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities
• Establish scalable and repeatable FinOps practices across the enterprise

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of relevant experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, technology finance, FP&A, cloud economics, or a related discipline
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-analysis skills
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or another major cloud platform
• Ability to understand cloud architecture and translate technical decisions into financial implications
• Experience with cloud cost allocation, optimization, governance, and consumption management
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Ability to effectively bridge the gap between Finance and Technology

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
