Construction Scheduler @ Actalent

Job Title: Construction SchedulerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to support a data center project in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves partnering with project leadership, engineering teams, superintendents, contractors, and clients to develop and maintain detailed construction schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from conceptual planning through project completion.
• Create baseline schedules and perform ongoing schedule updates throughout execution.
• Track project progress and provide schedule performance reporting.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and delays.
• Evaluate impacts from design changes, procurement challenges, and field delays.
• Coordinate scheduling efforts with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Create short-term and long-term planning schedules.
• Develop recovery plans when milestones are at risk.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule status to stakeholders.
• Prepare schedule reports, forecasts, and executive-level updates.
• Ensure proper schedule logic, constraints, sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Support schedule optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of construction scheduling experience.
• Experience creating and managing schedules for mission-critical or data center construction projects.
• Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Experience developing baseline schedules, updating progress schedules, critical path analysis, and recovery schedules.
• Experience scheduling projects valued at $50M+.
• Ability to collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proficient in gathering, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing schedule data.
• Experience conducting schedule risk analysis and evaluating the impact of delays and changes.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
