Summary
Guest Service employees are responsible for greeting, directing, and providing information and assistance to all medical center visitors. The Guest Service employee must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests. Must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with all guest-oriented operations of the medical center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- 1. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all visitor service details of the medical center.
- 2. Ability to answer any guest inquiries related to room locations, events, attractions, and services within the medical center.
- 3. Possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- 4. Multi-tasker personality with ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- 5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of other departments and functional disciplines.
- 6. Keen sense of and commitment to providing superior customer service.
- 7. Oversee the safety and security of the main lobby area.
- 8. Ability to monitor and recognize critical areas for attention and translate this to the manager for timely intervention.
- 9. Support an environment of teamwork among all staff members to best serve the medical center mission.
- 10. Desire to meet or exceed personal goals.
- 11. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- 12. Assist in the transportation of visitors to intended destinations, when necessary.
- 13. Maintain a working knowledge of AS400, PHS, and Message Center.
- 14. Willingness to take on added duties as assigned by the manager.
- 15. Must be able to work with and train new volunteers.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills necessary. Must possess excellent customer service and communications skills.
