The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated Driver Operator to join our Southland team and be part of delivering essential road maintenance, civil construction and surfacing work across Southland.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines driving, machine operation and general labouring duties. One day you could be behind the wheel transporting materials and equipment, the next operating plant, supporting sealing crews, or working alongside the team on-site.

Day to day responsibilities
- Operating trucks and a variety of plant and equipment
- Supporting road maintenance, civil construction and surfacing projects
- Carrying out general labouring and skill construction tasks
- Assisting with sealing and pavement works
- Loading, transporting and delivering materials safely
- Working alongside operators, forepersons and crew members to get the job done
- Completing timesheets, logbooks and other required documentation
Important Skills
- Class 4 licence is essential (Class 5 licence preferred)
- Experience driving trucks (trailer experience preferred)
- Experience operating heavy vehicles, plant or construction equipment
- Civil construction, surfacing or road maintenance experience would be highly regards
- A willingness to jump out of the cab and work alongside the crew
- Good communication and a team first attitude
