About this role
Our client is hiring a PC Technician to work onsite Owings Mills or Baltimore, MD. This role focuses on preparing, configuring, imaging, and deploying enduser computing devices across a large enterprise environment. You support the full device readiness lifecycle, including new hire deployments, hardware refreshes, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) readiness, and other rollout initiatives. You ensure that all devices are secure, compliant, and fully operational before delivery to end users, while maintaining accurate records and working closely with both local and remote support teams in a fastpaced, handson setting.
Responsibilities
- Image, configure, reimage, and prepare laptops, virtual machines, and desktops in alignment with established firm standards.
- Perform detailed quality assurance checks to validate Microsoft 365 applications, device drivers, wired and wireless network connectivity, BitLocker, Zscaler, OneDrive, endpoint security agents, and overall device readiness.
- Prepare and deploy devices for new hires, hardware refresh cycles, emergency replacements, and largescale rollout initiatives.
- Manage assigned deviceconfiguration and deployment tasks and maintain accurate asset, status, ownership, and worknote records within ServiceNow.
- Coordinate device handoffs, deployment logistics, and issue resolution with Asset Management, Desktop Support, workstation engineering, remote build technicians, and onsite support teams.
- Install standard and specialized software, confirm and document associate requirements, and support VDI, Windows 365, Windows upgrades, and other deployment initiatives.
- Troubleshoot failed builds, software installation issues, certificate problems, remote access challenges, virtual endpoint issues, and hardwarerelated configuration problems.
Essential Skills
- Handson experience with Windows 11 installation, imaging, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise deployment and endpointmanagement tools such as Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, and Company Portal.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, OneDrive, BitLocker, Zscaler, device drivers, wired and wireless connectivity, and endpoint security agents.
- Ability to troubleshoot failed builds, software installations, certificates, remote access, virtual endpoints, and hardwarerelated configuration issues.
- Imaging experience within Windows environments.
- Deployment experience in an enterprise setting.
- Customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and user support.
- Reliable transportation to support periodic travel between onsite locations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Owings Mills, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
