Low Voltage Cable Technician Fiber & Cat6Location: Worcester, MAEmployment Type: ContractPay: Competitive, based on experienceJob DescriptionWe are looking for Low Voltage Cable Technicians to join a growing team supporting commercial cabling projects in the Worcester, MA area. This is a hands-on position working with Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic cable, and other low voltage infrastructure. We are looking for technicians who have real field experience pulling and installing cable and are comfortable working in active commercial or construction environments.If you have experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, security, AV, network cabling, or low voltage construction, we want to hear from you.What You'll Be Doing
- Pull and install Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, and low voltage cabling
- Route cable through commercial buildings and facilities
- Dress, label, organize, and secure cable
- Assist with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting
- Install cabling above ceilings and through pathways
- Work with racks, patch panels, IDF/MDF rooms, and cable management
- Read basic prints, drawings, and cable schedules
- Follow job-site and OSHA safety requirements
- Work alongside other technicians to complete projects on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Previous low voltage, structured cabling, or telecommunications experience
- Experience pulling and routing Cat5e/Cat6 and/or fiber
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and cabling equipment
- Comfortable working on ladders and in construction environments
- Ability to lift and pull cable throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- OSHA 10 certification required
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Worcester, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
