Telecommunications Deployment Technician (Onsite) / "Smart Hands" TechnicianLocation: Hackensack, NJSchedule: Monday-Friday, Onsite (5 days per week)Experience Level: Entry Level/Intermediate Position OverviewWe are seeking two reliable Telecommunications Deployment Technicians to support a large-scale enterprise phone system rollout at a major healthcare facility in Hackensack, NJ. This project involves the deployment of approximately 6,000 Cisco phone devices and will provide support for engineering staff throughout the installation process. (Engineers can help train you). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with cabling, telecommunications, or IT support experience who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and deployment of Cisco phone devices
- Pull, route, and organize network and telecommunications cabling
- Label cables, ports, and equipment accurately
- Verify network ports are active and functioning properly
- Connect, configure, and physically install devices
- Support engineering teams with deployment activities and troubleshooting
- Maintain organized documentation and work areas
- Follow site procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite daily
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable performing physical work, including moving equipment and pulling cable
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively alongside engineers and technical staff
Preferred Experience
- Cisco phone deployment experience
- Unified Communications (UC) environments
- Telecommunications infrastructure projects
- Healthcare or large enterprise environments
- Telecommunications and telephony support experience
- Cabling and cable management
- Network port verification and troubleshooting
- Understanding of telecommunications systems
- Experience working in enterprise IT or infrastructure environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hackensack, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
