Sr. UX Researcher @ TEKsystems

DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to help shape the future of AI-powered technology solutions. This role will focus on innovative AI-driven products that help professionals conduct research, create content, analyze information, and complete complex workflows more efficiently and confidently.As a Senior UX Researcher, you will generate insights that guide product strategy, experience design, and innovation across AI-powered products. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to uncover customer needs, evaluate experiences, and identify opportunities that improve user outcomes.

What You'll Do

Own Research from Intake to Impact

• Partner with stakeholders to identify research needs and define key business questions.
• Translate stakeholder goals into actionable research plans.
• Design and execute end-to-end research studies independently.
• Manage all phases of research, from planning through presentation and recommendations.

Conduct Mixed-Methods Research

• Write, launch, and analyze surveys using tools such as Qualtrics.
• Conduct one-on-one interviews with customers and end users.
• Lead focus groups, usability studies, concept testing, and exploratory research initiatives.
• Integrate qualitative and quantitative findings to develop a comprehensive understanding of user needs.

Drive Product Strategy Through Insights

• Identify emerging trends, behaviors, workflows, and unmet needs.
• Synthesize complex and ambiguous information into meaningful narratives.
• Deliver actionable recommendations that influence product roadmaps and experience design decisions.
• Help teams understand factors that drive adoption, trust, and usability of emerging technologies.

Research AI-Powered Experiences

• Support core research initiatives related to AI-enabled products and solutions.
• Evaluate how users interact with generative AI and AI-assisted workflows.
• Help shape experiences that improve productivity, confidence, and quality of work.
• Generate insights that inform future product capabilities and workflow innovations.

Contribute to Research Excellence

• Learn and apply established research standards and best practices.
• Participate in peer reviews and collaborative critique sessions.
• Share emerging methodologies, tools, and innovative approaches.
• Mentor less experienced researchers and contribute to team development when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX Research experience (or equivalent depth of experience)
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end research initiatives
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities
• Portfolio showcasing research process, methodological rigor, and business impact
• Excellent communication, synthesis, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced product environments
• Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, or related social science disciplines
• Experience researching professional, regulated, or highly specialized user groups
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data-driven product experiences
• Experience mentoring researchers or contributing to research operations

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
