Job Description
1. Communicates with Riggers and others to perform job tasks.
- 2. Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting cables, ropers, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
- 3. Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps.
- 4. Attaches loads with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes and chain to crane hook.
- 5. Relays directions to Crane Operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to insure safety of workers and materials handles, using land signals, loudspeaker or telephone.
- 6. Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
- 7. Assists in setup, assembly and disassembly of cranes.
- 8. Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
- 9. Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
- 10. Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
- 11. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- 12. Typically requires at leaswt 6 months of industrial construction experience.
