- Role Summary The role is for a software developer within the ITSD Business Platforms and part of the middleware workstream of the Sales & Trading Team.
- The Nova middleware is a key component interfacing between various front, middle and back-office systems.
- The individual will be a member of a global team working on mission critical projects and BAU requests.
- The individual will be expected to participate in regular team meetings and agile ceremonies.
- The individual must be able to work within a technology team in a collaborative manner, demonstrating the impact of any system changes.
- The individual must be able to work with Business/Functional Analysts, Product Owners and other IT partners.
- Key interface will be with other team members, development leads, and other development managers across multiple regions.
- Understand requirements from other technology teams and non-technical functions.
- You may also be required to work other teams such as Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting.
- This individual will be a member of the team working on mission critical projects and provide the technical expertise for development environment, technology architecture and implementation.
- This includes both in-house and external applications.
- The individual also works together with the business users and analysts to ensure the applications meet users' specification and requirements.
- The role will interact with the larger development team, share design and solutions, and contribute to the overall objectives of the development team.
- The anticipated salary range for this role is €65,000.00 – €121,000.00, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, role scope, location, and relevant market factors.
- In addition to base salary, the role may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award and a competitive benefits package, including core benefits such as pension provision.
- Experience Educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar engineering degree.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Practical work experience involving system architecture, software application and message and data transfer and processing.
- Be well-versed in C#/.NET (at least V6) and/or C++, MS SQLServer, and have an active interest in other computing technology and tools.
- Familiarity with Fixed Income and Derivatives is a big plus.
- This is a hands-on programming position, so we are seeking candidate with solid knowledge in computer science, math and proficient coding skills.
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of data/message transfer and processing paradigms.
- Have excellent communication skills; a good teamwork and a strong work ethic.
- Have the maturity to solve problems directly and independently.
- There will at times the need to balance project work, BAU and support tasks so utilising their time efficiently will be key.
