You will lead a team of Culinary Technical Advisors while acting as a culinary ambassador for Vandemoortele towards customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Your role
- As Team Lead Culinary Technical Advisors, you will lead and develop a team of culinary experts while ensuring the successful execution of application, innovation and customer-focused projects.
- You will: Inspire, coach and develop the Culinary Technical Advisor team, fostering collaboration, expertise and continuous growth.
- Act as a culinary ambassador for Vandemoortele, building strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Translate customer and market needs into practical and value-adding product solutions.
- Coordinate masterclasses and culinary events at the Vandemoortele Food Experience Center in Ghent, supporting both local and international activities.
- Serve as the link between Facilities and Marketing/Commercial Management, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead application testing, product validation and benchmarking activities.
- Support innovation launches by developing compelling product and application stories.
- Advise customers on product functionality, performance and nutritional characteristics.
- Manage customer-specific technical projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Quality and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
What you'll bring
- You are a passionate food professional with strong leadership capabilities and a customer-oriented mindset.
- You also have: Proven experience in food applications, culinary development or technical customer support within the food industry.
- Experience leading, coaching or developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of food products, ingredients and raw materials.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and food legislation, including HACCP requirements.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate customer needs into innovative food solutions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and digital tools.
- Fluency in Dutch and French, combined with a good command of English.
- Knowledge of the Belgian and Luxembourg foodservice market is a strong asset.
